The numbers aren’t great for the Wildcats and having Hassan Adams returning
cold, after missing the Pac-10 Tournament, won’t help either. Unlike past
Arizona teams, this year’s squad is not a great shooting team. The
three-point shooting is virtually non-existent and the rebounding margin is
in the negatives. Where Arizona does strive is in the steal department.
Hassan Adams, Chris Rodgers and Mustafa Shakur are all major threats to
cause some takeaways. Underappreciated big men Ivan Radenovic and Kirk
Walters will need to perform well, on the glass and in the scoring
department, for Arizona to get past the first weekend.
