One has to
appreciate the unselfish play of the young Gators. The team ranks in the
top ten in assists and that leads to their amazing shooting percentage that
is hovering around 51%. The only major concerns by the numbers are
rebounding margin and turnovers. Joakim Noah and Al Horford can clean the
glass, but they will get out-muscled against stronger competition. It isn’t
surprising that turnovers are an issue with a team that starts four
sophomores, including point guard Taurean Green. Green has done a
tremendous job, but I like those experienced senior point guards in high
pressure tournament games. Florida has had a bad habit of losing early in
recent NCAA Tournaments. With such a young squad and a less than stellar
finish, the Gators are on major upset alert.
