Kent State's senior
backcourt duo of Jay Youngblood and DeAndre Haynes are the best in the MAC.
Both can hit the three ball and together they score over 28 points per
game. With Omni Smith, Armon Gates and Jordan Mincy available, the Flashes
have plenty of backcourt depth. In the frontcourt, Kevin Warzynski is the
big time scorer, despite being relegated to the bench. Michael Scott, Nate
Gerwig and Isaac Knight earn most of the starts, but are inefficient on
offense. The depth is there, the experience is there, but Kent State
doesn’t have enough weapons to come close to repeating their last NCAA
Tournament performance.
