Despite the
gaudy record and the high seeding, the inexperienced Tigers seem like an
obvious pick for an early exit. However, the talent level cannot be
denied. Rodney Carney, Darius Washington, Jr. and Shawne Williams can match
up with anybody in the country. The problem is that eight of the nine top
players for John Calipari’s squad are underclassmen. That’s never good come
tourney time. How will the youngsters react to their first ever trip to the
NCAAs? The answer to that question will determine how far the Tigers can
go.
