The Jaguars hold their opposition to under 40% shooting and they have faced
some great competition in the non-conference portion of their schedule.
While the wins were scarce (SU started the season 1-9), the Jaguars won’t be
intimated going up against the likes of Texas and Oklahoma. Chris Alexander
and Deforrest Riley-Smith, a transfer from Penn State, are the main scoring
threats. They will both have to have career days to advance past the first
round. Southern’s 18 turnovers per game are way too high for a team that
isn’t looking to run and the guards will have to hold onto the ball to have
any success.
