proved in the Big East tournament that he can get it done when he needs to. Remember West Virginia last year? A team
that was on the outside of the bubble two weeks before Selection Sunday, had
a great run in the Big East Tournament and went on to the Elite Eight.
Syracuse’s Big East Tournament run shouldn’t just upset other bubble teams;
it should upset all of us when we try to fill out our brackets. The Orange
might not even deserve a win in the first round, but they could make a big
run in the tournament. The Syracuse defense, in the areas of blocked shots
and steals, is the main positive. The shooting isn’t that good, the
free-throw percentage is horrible and the turnovers would make any coach go
bald. However, Syracuse has momentum and the kid from Scranton, PA; and
that might just be enough to pull off a surprise or two.
