The third time
was a charm for the Eagles against Coastal Carolina. After losing twice to
the Chanticleers in the regular season, Winthrop knocked them off when it
mattered most in the Big South Conference Tournament final. Torrell
Martin is a real threat from anywhere on the floor, except for the
free-throw line where he shoots a dismal 55%. The Eagles didn’t wear
down throughout the Big South tournament and will go nine or ten deep in
March.
