Daily Bracketology: Sunday's Field of 65

Another day, another Field of 65. As you should know by now, I'm projecting the NCAA Tournament field on a daily basis for the rest of the year (except no Saturday's since there's little action Friday). This is a field based on how the tourney looks "as of this moment." For one-bid leagues, I simply include the conference leader at the time of publishing. In case of ties, I use my projected winner.

 

Arrows indicate a team that moved up or down based on last night's performance. (Just because a team won or lost doesn't necessarily mean they'll move substantially.)

 

Note on Sunday's Movement: This was probably the most challenging ranking I've done so far.. it's basically a mess from about the 6 seeds down to the 10's. Everyone just keeps losig games.

 

At the top, Tennessee obviously takes the top spot, but Memphis doesn't drop very far. Butler's loss allows Louisville to move up to a three.. where some say they should have been anyways. The only team in the middle of the pack that won a big game was Arizona, who jumps back up to the last 7th seed. Texas A&M drops to a 9 seed due to continued mediocrity, but hold off Baylor who is a 10. Miami's surge continues as they are comfortably in the field as the top 10 seed, while Maryland hangs on as the last in the field. I get the sense some feel Maryland is more comfortably in, but their entire season is based on one win.

 

Villanova is the biggest victor of the week, as they move back into the field after winning four of five games. They knock out Florida, who has just one decent win all season.
