According to ESPN.com, 6'9" forward Augustus Gilchrist has informed Virginia Tech that he will not be attending their school as a result of last month's killings. Gilchrist averaged 22.3 points and 10.3 rebounds per game last season.
Although sports take a backseat to tragedies like this, from what I know Gilchrist is the first case of an athlete changing his mind as a result of the April 16 shootings.
