Now we come to the bottom of the poll, where there wasn’t much in the way of positives to be found this season. NJIT (0-29) completed a historically bad season, the worst winless campaign in the history of Division I basketball. With head coach Jim Casciano stepping down at season’s end the Highlanders are also in need of a head coach. Whoever steps into that opening will have a lot of work to do in terms of talent along with the confidence level of the returning players.

NYC Metro Ranking & Report: New Teams Added

PrincetonAfter last week’s article I received an email from a Rutgers fan who wanted to know why his Scarlet Knights weren’t in the poll. Fair enough, but we’ll just ignore the fact that my inbox was empty with these requests when RU was 0-6 in Big East play. A home win over then-#18 Villanova will do that to people, and rightfully so. But to be fair, Rutgers is not the only team added. Say hello to Monmouth, Princeton and Rider, which rounds this list out at twenty-three teams.
