Daily Bracketology: Monday

Another day, another daily Field of 65. This is a field based on how the tourney looks "as of this moment." For one-bid leagues, I simply include the conference leader at the time of publishing. In case of ties, I use my projected winner.
Arrows indicate a team that moved up or down based on last night's performance. (Just because a team won or lost doesn't necessarily mean they'll move substantially.)
Note on Monday's Movement: At this point, the changes that everyone cares about are on the bubble.. where it seems like nobody but Kentucky really wants to make the Big Dance. Maryland, Virginia Tech, and Florida all fizzled out, but at least the Hokies put up a good fight. Those three teams drop out and are replaced by Ohio State, Dayton, and Arizona State. Dayton at .500 in A10 play might seem controversial... but they have some of the best non-conference wins in the country and the A10 is as good as the Big Ten this year. Basically it comes down to this.. if Arizona's in (and they are as of now), then how could you keep Dayton out? The same might also be said of Ole Miss, who I have back on the fringe.. though some other pundits will have them in the field.
Syracuse remains on the outside looking in, but could certainly make a strong claim against Villanova in the first round of the Big East tournament. In fact, my guess is that whoever wins that game will return to the field. For this reason, even though UAB is in now, they will probably drop out Thursday despite being idle.
Huge game tonight as San Diego tries to steal a bid from a bubble team. Not only would adding a 3rd WCC team take someone's spot, but it also might generally make the committee more reluctant to take a non-BCS squad with the final spots.
Finally, I want to repeat (mainly for those who email me), that this field is not necessarily my top 65 best teams.. but what I think the committee will do. For a sense of how I actually rate the teams (for example, I rate Villanova ahead of many bubble teams who make this field), check out my Top 50.
