Scouting Report: A do-it-all big time performer
Strengths: A bit of everything. Very good scorer – can shoot, drive to the hoop or score on the post up. Good rebounder. Great passer. Very good defender, on big men or smaller players. Can hit the three. Very smart player. Tough presence inside. Good shot blocker.
Weaknesses: Not aggressive enough offensively – often passes when he should shoot. Needs to show he can take over games consistently. Is he a 3 or 4 in the NBA – may only be 6’8”. Needs to improve outside game to play the 3 spot in the NBA.
Projected 2007 Draft Range: Top 10 to late lottery pick.
Consensus: Green’s standout junior season, and the Hoya’s run to the Final Four, has caused his draft stock to soar. However, his lack of offensive aggressiveness in his final game, plus his lack of a true NBA position, has to raise some questions. All in all he should still be a solid, probably not spectacular, pro.
