ACC Clearly the Best

The ACC is certainly back this year as programs like Florida State, Maryland, and especially Georgia Tech have added talent and gained maturity. They all add key components to teams that were on the brink of being tournament calibur a year ago. At the top, Duke has filled the Reddick-Williams gap (as best they could) and North Carolina has added stellar talent to what was probably the best team in the league coming in. Also Virginia, who recently upset then #10 Arizona, NC State, and Virginia Tech bring solid teams who may find themselves fighting for their ticket to the big dance. The only ACC team to lose so far this season is Boston College oddly enough. BC, who is currently ranked 14th and was picked to finish 3rd in the conference, should overcome the early upset and return to the tournament.

Florida State has never had a BB program. Have they ever even made it to the sweet 16? Now that both DUKE and NOrth Carolina have lost- forget about the ACC. The ACC is as weak in BB as they are in FB. The ACC is an embareassment in both sports after the raid. The Big East middle players gave Duke their fist lost for two years in a row. G'Town did it last year and Marquette did it to Duke this year. UCONN met Duke twice in- both times in the final four. Each year UCONN walked away with the championship. MAryland looks good for the ACC- other than that- Don't get your hopes up this year.

ACC Has No One Below Top 4 Teams!

FSU has lost 2 and blown out by Big East Pitt. VT and BC have lost 2 games too. UVA just lost to Purdue, one of the few ACC Teams to lose to a Big Ten School that has only 2 Teams ranked in the Top 25? All have since lost and were beaten badly, enough proof the ACC lacks many teams after it is 2 to 4 at best! UNC, Duke, UMD, and another will play with anybody in any year, but after that, the ACC has big drop off! In any given year, the ACC will only have 2 to 4 great teams within it, but the Big East will have 6 to 8. Enough said! Even though Big East Georgetown and DePaul have not lived up to expectations so early in 2006, you can count on other Big East Schools to rise just as inexpertly as we saw from WVU, PITT, and Syracuse last year. The Big East always has 2 to 3 teams no one expects to be good but in the end, the Big East has had different Winners the last 4 years. This shows its prowess over the ACC! Even ACC Football is not as good as predicted after expansion, but Basketball is without a doubt is worse!

Big East Biggest TV Contract Now!

The Big East is without question the best College Basketball Conference as seen by the TV Contracts now making it the richest in America. Big East Schools are now located from New England to New York To Chicago to Tampa Bay! Recruits from the East, Midwest, and South are taking notice and joining Big East Schools in greater numbers than any other conference. The Big East decided on far better Bsketball Schools to add to its Prowess! The ACC decided Football was more important and now that they do not play each other twice every year, they have slipped to second. The Big East decided to bolster than Basketball by adding Marquette, DePaul, Louisville, and Cincy while using USF to stay in the south. Compare that to the ACC adding Miami, VT, BC?, then not being able to play each other twice anymore, end of story, end of biggest TV Contract! The Big Ten added Penn State and that just watered down the Big Ten further. Every week, Big East Schools when playing fellow Big East Brothers are without a doubt playing the toughest schedules within any conference and it shows up on CBS and ESPN in far greater numbers in viewers and money! The ACC will hang awhile but overall they have been passed in Basketball admitting weaker Teams like VT and Miami and BC just like they passed Big East in Football when they expanded taking Miami and VT out of the Big East Football. BC in both Basketball and Football will be passed soon enough as well. No one from the ACC will travel there and recruiting is tougher when you are no longer seen in your Eastern base anymore but only in the south. When the ACC can garner a bigger Basketball Contract it can brag again about being the best, but that will not happen anymore! UNC and Duke were right to oppose ACC Expansion, it has not made them better in Football as seen in no Top Ten Team today or last year and Basketball has gone down even further. Even the Big east has a better record against BCS Schools and higher BCS rating the last 4 years than the Average Coast Conference in Football. Swofford has achieved not what he wanted, and "Abandon Championship Conference". If he had taken Syracuse over VT, it may have been a different result, but sorrowful Swoffford looks more stupid now than ever! So does the ACC! The Big East will always have 5 to 6 Top Teams in it more than any Conference at anytime in any year. The ACC, Big Ten, Big-12 and SEC will never match that in any year too.

Since when did money

Since when did money determine who was best?

Pac-10 is best overall conference

2 teams in top 10, 4 in top 25, and the conference is #1 in RPI. The top Pac-10 teams all have quality wins against nonconference teams that were ranked or currently ranked including Georgetown, Georgia Tech, T A&M, LSU, Kentucky, and Memphis. The top two Big East teams, UConn and Pitt, have lost all their games against their ranked opponents.
