I like four
Dayton, Rhode Island, Temple and Xavier in any particular order can get into the Dance in my opinion. Charlotte could have an outside shot if they grab a top four finish & Louisville ups their profile in the Big East (making that impressive win look even better). Three would be a safe number; this is a good league.
I think four
I think Rhode Island, Dayton, Temple, and Xavier can get in. I think they are all good enough. Xavier has the most suspect resume right now in my opinion, but if they cant beat Temple tonight following there win at Dayton last weekend it would certainly help them. I say they are the most suspect because they lost all of there tough non-conference games. While the other three have at least a couple key non-conference victories. I also think Richmond has an outside chance of making the tournament if they win most of there remaining games and have a good showing in the A-10 tournament.
It Looks Like Four
Temple, Xavier, Rhode Island and Dayton will make it. Charlotte may have just knocked Richmond out with their win at Richmond. Richmond can recover by stealing a high profile conference road win but it will be tough. A sleeper to watch out for is St Louis.

i think the 4 that will make
i think the 4 that will make it are temple, dayton, xavier, and charlotte will make the tournament. temple because they are ranked 16th nationally and i think they will win they will win the a-10 this year and could make some noise in the big dance. dayton because they are currently ranked above rhode island in the a-10 in 4th with a 14-4 record and 3-1 in the conference. Xavier because they are very close to cracking the top 25 in my opinion and played temple tuff on the road, they are 2nd in the a-10 with a 12-6 record and they are 4-1 in this tuff conference. Finally, charlotte because they have alot of talent and have beaten some good teams such as richmond and louisville who are both projected to make the ncaa's, this team is 3rd in the a-10 with a 13-5 record and have only lost 1 of four a-10 game so far, which was on the road at xavier.

Four most likely but Five if.....
Ok the guy who posted before me is an absolute fool, there's no way Charlotte can get in, everytime they play a good team they get demolished and they beat louisville when the cards were without four people. The four that should get in (barring some collapses) would be Dayton, Rhode Island, Temple, and Xavier. those teams all have great rpi's and if they take care of business against teams they should beat they should be in. Richmond however realy has hurt themselves with the two early A-10 losses to Charlotte and Saint louis. they may not be the worst defeats but still they should have won them. they would need to beat Temple in a home game later on and not lose any bad games, as they have great wins like Mississippi State, Missouri, and Florida not to mention Old dominion. Thtas for the five scenario. to elaborate on the other four teams, Temple is the only team that is without a doubt in and should eventually be a very high seeded team. Dayton missed a few opportunities to get somee great wins to go along with the win over Georgia Tech but they are way too talented to miss the dance. Xavier doesn't have the prettiest record but looking at their schedule it looks hard for them to not finish around 13-3 or 12-4 with either of those records in this leagues which seems to have taken the PAC-10's spot of the 6th power conference this year (sharing it with the mountain west) would be in. Now for my beloved Rhode Island Rams and their chances. Rhody would have to stay consistant and win not collapsing like in years past. they should finish 12-4 as they have nine games on their schedule they should win but a win over xavier or dayton on this road trip would basically solidify a bid which they and it's fans are starving for.

Charlotte knocks off Temple
With Charlotte's win over Temple, it puts us closer to being in, not out. Still have plenty of work left to do.

With Charlotte now 6-1 and
With Charlotte now 6-1 and hopefully 7-1 tomorrow night with a win over George Washington here in Charlotte we will still be in a 3 way tie for first in the conference. We have won a pair of top 25 games (at #20/#18 Louisville; vs. #15/#15 Temple). Yeah we lost some big games but they also were against big teams-- at Duke (#3); at Xavier (#15); at Tennessee (#24); vs. Georgia Tech (#29); at Old Dominion (#39)all in the top 40 in the RPI polls and 4 of them on the road...look at the a-10 you only have 5 teams that have a winning percentage on the road and Charlotte is 6-4 third best in the conference. And you see who the 4 losses come from...Duke, Xavier, Tennessee, and Old Dominion...not to many other teams in the A-10 is playing a better game than Charlotte so yes I am saying Charlotte has a great chance of making it to the NCAA tournament and possibly end the season with no more than 3-4 losses if not winning the rest of our games in the A-10. So my Choices for the A-10 are 4 teams...(CHARLOTTE, Temple, Xavier, & Rhode Island)...Go NINERS!

Charlotte, No Chance?!?
Frivvle underestimates Charlotte in a big way. The Niners may slip up once or twice more, and even a 5-3 record the rest of the way puts them at 22-8. At worst, a 1-1 conference tourney run makes them 23-9, a 3rd or 4th place standings in the A-10 and an RPI around 50-55 or so. That's a borderline Tourney resume, and this is a WORST case scenario.
A better estimate has them going 6-2 the rest of the way (losses to Xavier and @R.Island perhaps), going 2-1 in the conf tourney and ending 25-8. A team with that many wins in a conference with A-10's RPI this season is a lock. They really would have to drop an ugly one to someone they shouldn't to knock themselves out, and they haven't done that yet. All five losses are quality ones.
Haven't seen anyone seed them less than a #10 seed right now, and there's no reason they can't go as high as a #7. Either way, they're in better position than anyone other than Temple and Xavier to make it.

How Many and Why?
Right now the A10 has 8 teams with 11+ wins (Temple, Xavier, Dayton, Rhode Island, Richmond, Charlotte, St Louis, and GW), 4 receiving votes in the Top 25 polls (Temple, Xavier, Dayton, and Rhode Island), and most impressively 5 teams in the top 31 RPI (Temple, Xavier, Dayton, Rhode Island, Richmond). For comparison, the ACC, Big Ten, and SEC only have 3 teams in the top 31.
