Recruiting
In this new world of one and done, I think recruiting classes should be based on how long a player stays. Obviously, North Carolina has the most impressive class with Barnes & Bullock.. however, I think they will both be there for only one year. Where Ohio State might retain four or five or their players for multiple years.
Memphis makes a strong case,
Memphis makes a strong case, but I think it has to be North Carolina. Barnes is the best player in the class (Knight's not on the same level athletically), and they round it out with another top 10 player and a top 35 player. Memphis has more big recruits, but UNC got the more valuable players.

Memphis for sure because
they seem to have recruited the entire Memphis Magic AAU national championship team. By them having played together, I think this will be a positive factor in the way they play. Even though they will be freshmen, they should play more like sophomores. Very impressive class by an unknown and untested coach.

the big memphis tigers
I think this class is raw talent and could very well be like Kentucky is this year, I know they can be. Signing off Gutta Fam, big up M town.

The fighting illini of
The fighting illini of Illinois!!!!!!!! Check em out!!

Y'all come back to this
Y'all come back to this subject again, after Kentucky has signed Brandon Knight (1), Terrence Jones (13), C. J. Leslie (14), and Doron Lamb (21) to go with already-signed Stacey Poole (27).

UK Fan ripcord65 is an idiot
What makes you think you all will sign all these recruits? Oh the fact that Calipari will help them cheat on the SAT's and ACT's....good going champ.

ahhh..
Well guys Kentucky will most likely land Brandon Knight and you cant forget about the players UK already has on there bench. Mr. Kentucky basketball Jon Hood who hasnt seen much playing time over the other all star freshmen. I would say kentucky will still have a strong recc. class!

uk will have the # 1 class in 2010
It's obvious that the wildcats will atleats sign 3 more players. Knihgt,And leslie or Jones, and eaither Lamb or Selby. Enes Kanter is a top 25 player in this 2010 class and you will see that on the next rankings, he was late getting ranked due to being over seas but the experts say he is like tyler handsbro but taller and with a better perimiter game. Also Stacy Poole is a to 50 player with explosive potintial. But If all the stars align right then the cats might just get all of these player and will then have the best class by far, and a better recruting class than the 2009 one. And all of these people can stop saying that Cal is never going to win at UK with these one and done players. Not all of them will end up leaving after one year and it will take a few recruting classes to get a good group of core players to work with, lets be honest there was nothing on the UK team when he got there to work with and all the good are goingpro this year but all he needs is time and UK will hang another banner!!!!!!!

Nothing at UK when Cal got there??? That's a joke, right?
Sure Cal brought three 5-star players with him. But the previous coach (I forgot his name, the one UK fired) had already signed one 5-star player and one 3-star player when UK hired Cal. Not to mention the players that played there the year before were decent Coach I-forgot-his-name just underachieved with them.

Mizzou has best class becasue of how they'll mesh w/ existing
Missouri. Top JUCO. Ratcliffe. Top player in Dallas: Tony Mitchell Second best in Dallas: Phil Pressey. His brother, aJUCO All-American. Also Kadeem Green and sharpshooter Krekow of Columbia, MO.

MIZZOU arguably has best recruiting class
I have to agree w/ previous poster. The addition of 6 players, 5 of whom should contribute immediately should bolster an a junior class that already consists of Bowers, Dixon, & English. The JUCO kid (Ratcliffe) is an instant starter and you add in Mitchell (5 star forward) and all of a sudden our front court is a strength. Coach Anderson will have the players to compete for the Big 12 title and considering most pundits consider him an "overachieving" coach. Look out for M-I-Z...

UK Recruiting
Not to worry cause me Lester and Hubert was setting out back the Whitley City Wallmart in the three holer smoking and talking about asteroids when a ghost of Adolph Rupp suddenly appeared in our midst. He said that Orton and Bledsoe was coming back; Jones and Leslie are joing Knight, Lamb, Poole and Kanter as UK freshmen recruits; only Miller, Harrelson and Liggins are staying and that these 11 ballers would be known as the Fabulous 11 and win the NCAA two years in a row. He told us not to worry.

best class
Be nice if everyone stuck to the topic. By my count, North Carolina only had 3 top 100 gets. If you average their ranking they average to 11. A very good class indeed.
I have a bit of a beef concerning the ranking of the Kanter kid for Kentucky. I've seen him play and he is Duncanesque in his ability level. I've seen Barnes and Sallinger play and Kanter is way better than either. (my opinion. dismiss it at your peril). I give the kid a #4 ranking. with a 4, Kentucky's current 4 recruits average a 22. If you only look at the top 3 (like UNC) the average is a 10.6. Memphis has 4 recruits in the top 100. They average 28.5. OSU averages a 41 with its 4. I think KY and UNC arguably have the two best classes right now. If Jones and Leslie are added to the UK class, then KY clearly takes the prize for best class.

UNC
Count the UNC recruits and then add the transfer from Alabama and now James McAdoo may come to UNC early, enrolling in the fall and help at Chapel Hill suddenly makes the rest dwarfs.

But they will still SUCK
But they will still SUCK HIND Tit to Duke! The Devils have all the pieces in place to RUN AWAY with the ACC and likely back to back National championships!

Duke
DUKE! 3 great recruits--andthe rankings never include JUCOs or transfers.Seth Curry is gonna light it up and the JUCO kid is very good by all accounts. Back to back championships?Yes,very possible. They will run-AWAY with the ACC this yr!

NuLQTz Fantastic article post. Keep writing.

North Carolina has arguably
North Carolina has arguably the best player in Barnes and a future pro in Bullock. Memphis is bursting at the seems with 3 Top 15 players, while OSU quietly locked up a monster class led by the best big man out there. What do you think?
