Scouting Report
- Siegel's
Take:
Unlike Kevin Durant and Brandan
Wright who have similar height, Lopez is more of a traditional big man, who
isn't quite the freak athlete. But it is for this very reason that he
should most likely have as big an impact as those players on the college
level. His upper body is a bit thicker, and he weighs upwards of 230
pounds (not to mention he could end up being 7-1). Because of this,
he's ready to be a better rebounder in college from the get-go, and is
better suited to guard players in the post, though he won't be quite as
great blocking shots from the help-side. Lopez can also score the ball
down low, but he doesn't have the "wow" game that some of the other big man
have who can put it on the floor and shoot from three. Still, Lopez
can surprise with his range. (Note: Lopez twin brother Robin is also a
Top 25 prospect, and has been considered better than brook in the past.)
