Scouting Report: A super fast, high leaping point guard from Sweden.
Strengths: Lightning quick. Explosive leaper – capable of jaw-dropping dunks. Great rebounder his size and position. Has three-point range – hit almost three a game this past year. Good ball-handler. Big time scorer. Good assist man. Gets plenty of steals.
Weaknesses: Too small for the NBA. Turnover prone. Takes too many three-pointers – shot eight a game this season – not what you want from a point guard. Swedish pro league isn’t one of the most competitive.
Projected 2008 Draft Range: Mid second round pick to undrafted.
Consensus: Mbemba has the speed and athleticism to compete in the NBA, but his lack of size and top-notch playing experience probably means he won’t be hitting an NBA court anytime soon.

Jeff Fox is a freelance journalist based an hour outside of Toronto, Canada. While attending University of Waterloo (Canada) earning a B.A. in Economics and Management Studies, Jeff managed to walk onto the school’s varsity basketball team, the Warriors, for 2 seasons. His final year riding the pine for the Warriors saw the team make it to the CIS (Canada’s NCAA equivalent) Final 8 tournament.
