College Basketball: What If? All-American Team

What if the college athletes were required to play four years of college ball before jumping for the NBA? The talent level in college basketball would be at an all-time high.  But who would be the 2005 All-Americans and Players of the Year.  CHN has an idea..

What If? Player of the Year

DaJuan Wagner - Memphis

25 ppg, 6 apg, 3 rpg, 3 spg

Wagner teamed with junior PF Amare Stoudamire to lead Memphis to an unblievable 28-2 regular season record, and a consistent spot atop the AP & Coaches Polls.  Wagner led the CUSA in scoring and steals, finishing 2nd to Louisville's electric Lebron James in assists.  The Tigers lone losses came on the road at Louisville, and a tough home loss to Syracuse in which Carmelo Anthony exploded for 38 points.  This is Wagner's 2nd season in a row on the All-American 1st team, after making the 3rd team in his sophomore season.  NBA scouts predict that Wagner will certainly be chosen in the top 5 picks, most likely 2nd behind DePaul's Eddy Curry.
