Jacob PullenThings got off to a bad start for Frank Martin's team before last night's game against UNLV tipped off as Jacob Pullen and Curtis Kelly were both suspended due to a violation of NCAA rules. The two players purchased clothing at an area department store at a discount (how much is unknown), triggering a three-game ban for Pullen while the length of time Kelly sits out remains to be seen.

Oakland's Keith BensonDespite the amount of attention being given to ESPN's 24-hour college basketball marathon that tips off at midnight (Miami at Memphis) there are some good games on the docket Monday night. In the early window there are a two under the radar games that lack television coverage but won't lack for quality. Oakland (0-1), the preseason favorite in the Summit League, makes the trek south to take on one of the favorites in the Mid-American in Ohio (1-0). Two of the better players not in BCS conferences will be on display in Athens: Oakland center Keith Benson and Ohio guard D.J. Cooper.

Big East Wednesday Recap: Welcome Back, Mr. Harangody

Big East BasketballLuke Harangody was a First Team All-Big East selection and it was an honor that many questioned this week due primarily to his knee injury. The senior played just eleven minutes in Saturday's regular season finale at Marquette and the question of many was whether or not his return would hamper the surging Irish in their quest for an NCAA Tournament bid. Well, you got your answer. Harangody came off the bench to score 20 points and grab 10 rebounds, essentially being the difference-maker in Notre Dame's 68-54 win over Seton Hall.

Big East: All-Conference Teams

Big East BasketballPROVIDENCE, R.I. – For the third straight year, Notre Dame forward Luke Harangody was named to the All-BIG EAST First Team, the league announced. The conference’s head coaches choose the all-conference teams. The coaches are not permitted to vote for their own players.

St. John's Signs Ronald Roberts

QUEENS, N.Y. - St. John's head men's basketball coach Norm Roberts announced the signing of Jersey City, N.J., forward Ronald Roberts to a National Letter of Intent (NLI) to join the Red Storm basketball program for the 2010-11 season.

"Ronald will be a great addition to our program. He is an outstanding young man who will give us versatility at the power forward and small forward positions," said Norm Roberts, now in his sixth year at the helm of the Red Storm. "Ron has a great upside, and he comes from a terrific basketball family."
