Scouting Report: The top point guard prospect in this year’s draft.
Strengths: Lightning quick – can blow by his man to create a shot for himself of kick it to a teammate. Great ball handler. Can score with both hands. Very effective fast breaking or setting up in a half court offense. Clutch performer – the type of player coaches want the ball in the hands of with the game on the line. Great leader. Very experienced player who played in a big time conference. Good defender.
Weaknesses: Not a real strong three-point threat – shot for a good average his senior year but didn’t take too many. Not big time leaper – won’t be taking it to the hole and dunking on anyone.
Projected 2007 Draft Range: Lottery pick.
Consensus: Law has solidified himself as the top point guard prospect in the draft after another spectacular year with the Aggies. As him body and his game matures, Law should become a clutch player in the NBA.
