PHILADELPHIA (04/17/07) – Craig Williams, a 6-8, 230-pound forward out of Central High in St. Croix, Virgin Islands, has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Temple University on a men’s basketball scholarship. Williams becomes the fourth member of Temple head coach Fran Dunphy’s first full recruiting class, joining early signees - 6-9 forward Lavoy Allen, 6-10 forward Micheal Eric and 6-2 guard Martavis Kee.

“We are delighted to have him,” said Dunphy. “We are looking forward to him making a smooth adjustment to college life at Temple, both on the court and in the classroom.”

Williams, who averaged 25 points and 10 rebounds per game as a senior in 2006-07, was named the Most Valuable Player of the All Virgin Islands Hoop Classic held April 13-14. He scored 36 points and pulled down 12 rebounds in the event that took place at Central High.
