Three Stars of The Day

We handpick the best performances of the day, whether it be stat lines that make you drool, or clutch performances.  Either way, its our way of showing the love:

Wayne Ellington - North Carolina

A no-brainer today, as Ellington hit the game-winning three in OT to push UNC past Clemson. Oh, he also scored 36 as well..

Brian Lillis - Albany

Led the Great Danes to an OT win over Vermont by hitting for 29 points, 7 boards, and 7 dimes

Jamelle Cornley - Penn State

The Nittany Lions improved to 2-0 in Big Ten, beating struggling Illinois behind Cornley's 18 and 12

Other Top Performers

Malcolm Grant - Villanova - Coming off a three game stretch in which he only hit 3 fg's, the freshman had 22 against Pitt

Brian Hodges / Cavell Johnson / Darryl Proctor - UMBC - All three scored 20 or more as the Retreivers beat New Hampshire

KC Rivers - Clemson - Despite the loss, Rivers was rock-solid, tying a season-high with 24 points on 9-15 shooting
