No suprise that Jimmer Fredette, CollegeHoops.net's National Player of the Year, also leads our High-Major All-America teams. Fredette averaged 28.9 ppg to lead the country while his BYU Cougars made the Sweet Sixteen. He's joined on the First-Team by fellow MWC competitor Kawhi Leonard of San Diego St, Tu Holloway and Justin Harper of the A10, and Saint Mary's senior Mickey McConnell.

Underclassmen are hard to find on this year's list, as Leonard is one of only 3 of 38 on the list. The other underclassmen include Kevin Foster of Santa Clara and the lone freshman, Dough McDermott of Creighton.

Player of the Year Jimmer Fredette, the nation's leading scorer, highlights CollegeHoops.net's 2011 All-America teams. Fredette averaged 28.9 ppg while leading BYU to a 32-5 record and a spot in the Sweet Sixteen. Fredette is joined on the First Team by seniors Nolan Smith of Duke and JaJuan Johnson of Purdue, junior Kemba Walker of UCONN, and Ohio State freshman Jared Sullinger.

Sullinger is one of four freshmen on the list, along with Kentucky's Terrence Jones (4th Team) and Brandon Knight (Honorable Mention), and Texas forward Tristan Thompson. Only 9 of the 41 players from last year's CollegeHoops.net All-America team returned to college this season, and 6 players repeated honors.

With an expanded 68-team 2011 NCAA Tournament, we get an expanded Top 68 Players List This is not a fantasy stats ranking, although many of the players listed put up monster numbers, nor is this an evaluation based on pro talent-level..

This was such a tough list to narrow down, there were about 20 other guys not listed who seemed awfully close. Some of these guys are national stars (Kemba Walker, Jimmer Fredette, etc), others you may never have heard of (Noah Dahlman or Mike Muscala perhaps?). All 68 will make an impact on the 2011 NCAA Tournament in at least some small way.
