Senior Neitzel’s scoring is down this year, but he is doing something far more important to the team’s success – taking care of the ball. He has a very solid 4.29 assists to turnover ratio, and in the month of December dished out 32 dimes and only turned the ball over eight times.

IRVING, Texas - A pair of Nebraska athletes - senior Aleks Maric and junior Ade Dagunduro - have been chosen as the Phillips 66 Big 12 Men’s Basketball Player and Rookie of the Week for Dec. 10-16, in voting by a panel of media covering the conference. It is the third career weekly honor for Maric and marks the first time in Big 12 history that NU has earned both accolades in the same week.

IRVING, Texas - Sophomore D.J. Augustin (Texas) and freshman Bill Walker (Kansas State) have been chosen as the Phillips 66 Big 12 Men’s Basketball Player and Rookie of the Week for Dec. 3-9, in voting by a panel of media covering the conference. Both players capture their first honor of the season. It is the fifth career weekly recognition for Augustin after he won rookie accolades four times a year ago.

TUCSON, Ariz. – University of Arizona men’s basketball player Jordan Hill has been named the U.S. Bank Pacific-10 Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for Dec. 3-9, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

DENVER – Boise State forward Reggie Larry has been named the Western Athletic Conference men’s basketball player of the week for Dec. 3-9. This is the second WAC Player of the Week honor this season for the senior.

CHN is doing BCS all-conference teams in December?  Perhaps it is a tad early, but it should be interesting comparing the names on the All-November to the names that ultimately make the grade come March.  As all fans know, not all non-conference schedules are made the same, so these lists are weighted more heavily towards the top players on the top teams in the nation who have played the top competition - the top of the tops.  We’ll start things off with the Atlantic Coast Conference:

DENVER – Utah State forward Stephen DuCharme has been named the Western Athletic Conference men’s basketball player of the week for November 19-25. This is the first career WAC Player of the Week honor for the senior.
