Cat's Keep NCAA Hopes Alive, Defeat Ole Miss
In a must win situation for the Wildcats, Meeks with 25pts led Kentucky past Ole Miss 71-58. Patrick Patterson had a nice all around game with 15pts, 14reb, and 3 blocks. Miller stepped up and chipped in 12pts. Yesterday Patterson came out and said he was returning for his junior season and most people believe Meeks will return as well. fans hope Patterson rejuvenated Kentucky yesterday with his announcement. The Cats seemed to play much better than they had been the last 4 games.
Ole Miss led going into halftime 38-36 in a half that was made up with both teams making runs and then cooling off in spurts. SEC Freshmen of the year standout Terrico White had a team high 21pts with 4-9 from the 3pt line. David Huertas added 15pts but it wasn't enough as the Cats forced 11 Ole Miss turnovers in the second half on route to getting revenge from an earlier 85-80 loss.
Losing to Ole Miss began Kentuckys decline as they had started out in the SEC 5-0. It will be interesting if this win will give the Cats enough confidence to get back on track to win the SEC tournament. Up next for Kentucky is LSU. In the first game they played Kentucky had a 10 point lead in the second half before falling victim to the Tigers in a closely contested game 73-70.

Background
I'm a basketball fanatic that bleeds blue. That's right I've been a Kentucky Wildcats basketball fan since 1984 when the first player I saw lace'em up was Kenny "Sky" Walker.
I graduated from Indiana University and spent 5 years in enemy territory. Lets just say the color Red just doesn't look good on me. In my spare time (away from the wife) I follow other sports such as MMA (Mixed Martial Arts), NBA, Boxing, and the NFL.
