Colonials Back on the Road

Defending NEC champion Robert Morris is back on the road following their opening game loss at Syracuse, this time visiting Penn State in a game that tips at 7:30 PM. The Nittany Lions, defending Postseason NIT champions, are led by All-Big Ten guard Talor Battle and all he did in their season-opening win over Penn was rack up 27 points, 10 rebounds and four assists. Ed DeChelis' team doesn't have a senior on the roster and the amount of talent they lost from last season's team resulted in the Big Ten coaches picking them to finish last in the conference.

Robert Morris will have to take care of the basketball in order to have a shot at knocking off Penn State, something they failed to do at Syracuse last week. Jimmy Langhurst is still out due to injury and as a result Karon Abraham and Velton Jones will need to step up in the backcourt. Both scored in double figures in the opener as did senior Rob Robinso, who finished the game with a double-double. Expect to see some pressure from the Nittany Lions in light of RMU's turnover issues last week but the new starters should be better equipped to handle it with a game under their collective belts.
