Dyson Will Have Surgery

February 14th, 2009

So it looks like Jerome Dyson will be out for the remainder of the season with his knee in injury. He will be having surgery on it on Monday and will be rehabbing for about four months.

The Huskies will definatly miss his perimeter defense and his scoring, but in his absence last season Craig Austrie played great as Uconn went 8-1 without Dyson.

Before the injury Wednesday night, Dyson was playing arguably his best basketball of the season. He was leading the Huskies in time on the court, scoring and steals in the last five games. He was also a key player in crunch time, shooting 87 percent from the free-throw line in the final 2 minutes of regulation and OT this season.
