Kentucky vs Georgia preview
Georgia and Kentucky are at ot again. A good old cat dog shootout. Kentucky is undefeated in the SEC with wins over Vanderbilt and Tennesse. Their losses have come to Vanderbilt and Tennesse.
For the cats to win this game, they have to limit their turnovers. Although Georgia scores just under seventy points a game, if they get points on the board by turnovers, the momentum could turn against Kentucky really quick. Especially since this game is in Athens. Also, they have to get the ball too Patterson. Jodie Meeks is going to be double teamed every time down the court for the rest of the SEC season. Which means not only will patterson have to score, the cats will have to find another guard who can step up and become the third scoring option and maybe distribute the ball.
For Georgia to win, the bulldogs have to play defense. They can't let Jodie Meeks go off on them and put the game away in the first ten minutes. As many fans saw against Tennesse, Meeks is a threat once he passes that half court mark. However, even if Meeks isn't scoring, the cats players' down low will likely be getting a lot of points and a lot of boards. Patrick Patterson is probably the best big man down low in the SEC. He might be the second best sophomore in the country, just behind Oklahoma's Blake Griffin. If Georgia can stop the cats top two, they will easily win this game.
I don't see how Kentucky will lose this game. After all, Kentucky beat Vanderbilt and Tennesse by double figures who both beat Georgia by double figures. Im picking the cats by fifteen
